Along the way, it has been understood that specialization provides the best conditions for a small company to succeed. Pöntisen Puutyö Oy has produced windows for a wide range of purposes over the years, from customs checkpoint sliding windows and barn and horse stable windows to current special windows.
In the spring of 2008, a generational change took place in our family business. Taisto Pöntinen’s son, Ville Pöntinen, began as the company’s CEO, and Taisto retired to enjoy his well-deserved retirement, although he still follows the company’s activities from the board.
As a result of changes in the construction industry, we refined our product range and boldly sought CE certification for smoke ventilation windows. After receiving the certification, we reinvented ourselves as an established company, creating the current Saaga® brand, appearance, and a strategy based on profitable growth focused on smoke ventilation and interior windows.
Today, our company employs 8-10 dedicated professionals.
